The Mega Man series, love it or hate it (I sure know what end I'm on), is still one of the more successful franchises out there, and you have to admit that the blue bomber helped define an era of gaming on the Nintendo Entertainment System. He's had spin-offs of spin-offs, and has spawned an immense number of titles from numerous iterations of the franchise. However, I often see Mega Man games become the target of many rants and bashes, for what I feel to be rather lackluster reasoning. For not being different? That statement I simply don't comprehend. Sure, Mega Man X plays similarly to X2, but what about Mega Man Legends? Or Mega Man Battle Network? Or Mega Man Soccer? What about Mega Man Zero in comparison to Mega Man: The Power Fighters? Or Mega Man X7 compared to Mega Man 7? Battle Chip Challenge in comparion to Xtreme? I suppose I should stop there. The point of the matter is that there are plenty of playstyles within the Mega Man realm. There are more in Japan as well, including racing for one. But for some reason I just don't understand, the series is constantly accused of being more of the same, regardless of any efforts Capcom makes. Mega Man X: Command Mission is proof of that. I've seen a lot of negativity towards this title (especially with popular reviewers, although I won't name names), and after playing it myself, I don't see what their reasoning is. Sure, I'm a Mega Man fan, but I'm not completely biased in the sense where I'm blinded to what true quality is. I'll admit, Mega Man games aren't the greatest, and the series has had its fair share of missteps, but regardless, there are many good entries which seem to be largely ignored. The Mega Man Zero series, for example. Whenever I read about it, it's merely regarded as an extension of the X series, nothing more. They seem to neglect the great gameplay, level design, and RPG elements that comprise those magnificent games. And the Mega Man X series especially gets some flak nowadays. I know that there are those who dislike Mega Man games, and I'm not saying they are incorrect, because what video games you enjoy is based purely on personal preference, but I think saying that Mega Man's games are all the same is unfair. I suppose it makes sense for a Mega Man fan's first journal entry to be centered around the blue bomber, but even so, I hope you found this enlightening.

For the artwork you have, I like the coloring style for it. Very dark, and enjoyable. I haven't read your writing material. But from what I've read, you can definitely write well.
Keep it up man, it's awesome stuff.
I'll keep on playing music in the meantime XD.
